When you’re 19, entering your 20s feels exciting. Grown up. Full of possibility.
But when you’re 29, entering your 30s can feel… scary. Maybe even a little old.
At least, that’s how it felt for me for a long time.
But now that I’m here, standing in my 30th birthday month… something has shifted.
I don’t feel anxious about turning 30.
I don’t feel behind.
And surprisingly… I don’t feel old at all.
I feel excited.
How My Perspective on Turning 30 Changed
Your 20s are often described as the years you’re supposed to “find yourself.” People even call them your selfish years. A decade where you focus only on what you want, what you need, and where you want to go.
But I’m so glad I didn’t follow that narrative.
Because if I had spent my 20s only chasing myself, I never would have landed where I am today:
a wife, and a mom to three beautiful little babies.
Giving up those so-called “selfish years” to build a family of my own will forever be the greatest decision I’ve ever made.
My 20s weren’t about missing out.
They were about building something meaningful.
Embracing My 30th Birthday Month Instead of Dreading It
My 20s were busy. Full. Stretching.
And I have no doubt my 30s will be even busier. But I also believe they’ll be more fun, more grounded, and more intentional.
So instead of dreading the big 3-0, I’m embracing it.
And to make sure I’m stepping into this next decade as the healthiest, most present version of myself, I’m using my birthday month as a reset. Not a reinvention, but a realignment.
This is my 30th birthday month reset routine, focused on my home, habits, health, faith, and finances.
1. Health Reset: Nourishing My Body at 30
During my birthday month, I’m resetting my health with simple, realistic changes:
- A new diet focused on high-protein meals
- More whole foods and healthier choices
- Less restriction, more nourishment
After babies and postpartum seasons, I’m learning to fuel my body instead of punishing it. My goal isn’t to “bounce back.” It’s to feel strong, energized, and supported for the life I’m living.

2. Postpartum Workout Routine (Gentle + Consistent)
Movement looks different in this season, and that’s okay.
This reset includes easing into a postpartum workout routine that prioritizes:
- Core and strength rebuilding
- Short, doable workouts
- Consistency over intensity
I’m not chasing exhaustion. I’m building strength for motherhood, homemaking, and longevity.
3. Choosing More Non-Toxic Living
As I enter my 30s, I’m becoming more intentional about what I allow into my body and my home.
This month, I’m slowly swapping:
- Non-toxic food options
- Cleaner household products (get my favorite non-toxic cookware here!)
- More mindful personal care items
I want my home to feel safe, peaceful, and supportive. Not chemically overwhelming or unnecessarily complicated.
4. Home Reset: Creating a Space That Supports Our Life
A calm home makes everything feel lighter.
Instead of a full overhaul, my birthday month reset focuses on:
- Decluttering one space at a time
- Letting go of what no longer serves our family
- Refreshing small details that bring joy
My home doesn’t need to be perfect. It needs to function well for a busy family and feel like a place we can all breathe.
5. Habit & Faith Reset
Turning 30 has made me realize how much I value margin.
This reset includes:
- Reevaluating daily routines
- Reducing screen time
- Creating slower mornings and gentler evenings
Most importantly, I’m spending intentional time resetting my faith and heart. Praying over this next decade, my marriage, my children, and the woman I’m becoming.
I don’t need to control what’s ahead. I just need to stay present and faithful where I am.
6. Financial Check-In: Looking Ahead with Clarity
During my birthday month, I am doing a simple financial reset:
- Reviewing spending habits
- Cutting what no longer makes sense
- Refocusing on long-term family goals
Thirty feels like permission to think long-term instead of rushing everything.
Entering My 30s with Peace
This 30th birthday month reset routine isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about honoring who I already am and creating space to grow into who I’m becoming.
I’m not scared of my 30s anymore.
I’m grateful for them.
If you’re approaching a new decade or feeling the weight of a transition season, let this be your reminder: you don’t need a full life overhaul. Sometimes all you need is a gentle reset and the courage to embrace what’s next.
Here’s to entering our 30s grounded, grateful, and excited!
