Baby number three is on the way! I can hardly believe I’m typing those words. Each pregnancy has looked a little different for me, but one thing I’ve learned along the way is that there are a few items that make the whole journey so much smoother. Whether you’re on your first, third, or even fifth pregnancy, having the right tools, comforts, and resources can make all the difference.

This time around, I know exactly what’s worth keeping around and what just collects dust. So today, I’m sharing my must-have items for pregnancy (and baby) number three—things I’ve leaned on before, and new favorites that are already making a difference.

1. A Good Prenatal Vitamin

There are so many options out there, but the most important thing is finding one that’s high-quality, easy on your stomach, and something you’ll actually take consistently. I’ve tried everything from gummies to capsules, and having a go-to vitamin keeps me at peace knowing baby and I are covered nutritionally. This time I am using the Mary Ruth Prenatal. It’s natural and clean ingredients and I swear it doesn’t make me more nauseous like some of the other brands do!

2. A Supportive Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is so important during pregnancy, and I swear I drink more when I have a water bottle that is cute. But as someone who does not love drinking water, I really need something that helps me get it down as much and as quickly as possible. My favorites are ones with straws, because let’s be real—I’m too tired to tip a bottle back half the time. I’m also very visual, so I like the ones that track how much you are drinking. It’s a mental goal for myself to finish it each day. Here’s one I really like!

3. Comfy Maternity Clothing

There’s a lot of controversy around maternity clothing. And I fall somewhere in the middle. I really prefer to try and buy clothing that will work for pregnancy but also still work when I am postpartum and back to my “normal body”. Especially with how expensive maternity clothes can be. However I will say, investing in some maternity jeans is worth it if you ask me. While yes, 99% of the time I am in sweats, loose dresses, or leggings, sometimes I want to feel more put together with a pair of jeans. And frankly I think they are pretty comfy! I even like wearing them postpartum! Same idea with shirts. Everything is a crop top these days and I find that most regular shirts are too short for pregnancy. So investing in some maternity shirts or just oversized, longer shirts is a must!

4. A Pregnancy Pillow

Sleep is already a little tricky with toddlers around, and pregnancy doesn’t exactly help. A good body pillow or U-shaped pregnancy pillow makes such a difference for hip and back support. Even if it takes up half the bed, it’s worth it.

5. A Journal or Pregnancy App

With two little ones already running around, I don’t have time to meticulously track every milestone like I did the first time. But I still want to remember the highlights and special moments. A quick journal or even a pregnancy app helps me keep up with things down before they slip away. I have used several that have been great. This time around I am using the Pregnancy+ App.

6. Comfortable Shoes

Between chasing kids, running errands, and farm chores, my feet take a beating. A pair of slip-on sneakers or sandals with support is a must for those swollen, tired feet. Birkenstocks are for sure my go to! Trust me—investing in good shoes is not just a luxury, it’s survival.

7. Healthy, Easy Snacks

Pregnancy hunger hits fast and hard. Having grab-and-go snacks like protein bars, fruit, nuts, or cheese sticks saves me when I don’t have time to prep something. Bonus: my toddlers usually eat them too, so I’m not making double snacks.

8. Grace + Realistic Expectations

Okay, not technically an “item,” but it’s the one thing I need more than anything. Pregnancy with littles around is different—it’s beautiful, chaotic, and exhausting. Giving myself grace to rest when I need to, let go of perfection, and soak up this fleeting season has been the best must-have of all.

Final Thoughts

Every pregnancy looks different, but having a few key comforts in your corner makes the journey a little easier. For baby #3, I’m all about keeping things simple, practical, and realistic. No extra fluff—just the things that actually help me feel supported, healthy, and ready to welcome another sweet little one into our family.
