Why We Were In San Francisco
We traded our wide-open skies and quiet ranch nights for a bustling weekend in the city. The main reason? The Giants’ final game of the season! It was the perfect excuse to not only catch a ballgame but also spend some time with Tyler’s parents. Plus, a weekend away from home felt like a much-needed change of pace.
The Road To The City
From our front porch to downtown San Francisco, it’s about a four-hour drive. Honestly, it went quicker than expected—but let me tell you, being pregnant and having two toddlers in the back seat isn’t exactly a recipe for relaxation. And if you’re wondering, no, they did not nap for hardly any of it. The excitement (and the occasional squabble) kept things lively the entire ride.
Game Day Experience
Walking into Oracle Park with the kids was such a sweet moment. Stetson is just starting to get into baseball, which made the game extra special. And the highlight of the day? They caught a foul ball! That’s a memory we’ll be talking about for years.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—sunny but comfortable, with just enough of a breeze. And of course, we couldn’t resist all the yummy ballpark food.
Heading Home
After two back-to-back late nights in the city, we were all wiped out. The car ride home was much quieter than the drive in, and pulling back into the ranch felt like a deep breath of fresh air. We may be tired, but our hearts are full after making these memories together.
