Our precious Fallon’s first birthday is today. One whole year around the sun and what a year it has been. Maybe it’s second kid things, but I found her first year to fly by so much faster than Stetson’s did. Probably because everything wasn’t so new this time around. We were much more confident with what we were doing. Not having to learn every little thing for the first time. That also made her first year of life so sweet in so many ways. Fallon has always been a mama’s girl since the day she was born. For months, I was the only one that could comfort her. Even still, when she is really upset – she needs her mama. I know a lot of people would find that frustrating and difficult. But I have always loved that. She’s my little side kick. The most beautiful little soul. Words cannot express how blessed I am to call her my baby.
Fallon’s First Year Of Life
In her first year of life, this girl has done a lot! Starting off strong with coming into this world in an unmedicated birth. The most wild experience for me ever. The first holiday she had Earth-side was Easter and it was such a sweet day! She’s been on a few plane trips, visited lots of family members, gone camping, had lake days, been on a boat, attended the rodeo, and gone to a wedding. And of course had her first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
Who She Is
Fallon’s personality is really beginning to shine. She loves to be silly with her brother and keep up with him in any way she can. This girl is a climber! She is all over our toddler set up but is careful and calculated! It used to scare me how quickly she was mastering these things. But now, I love to watch her accomplish such big kid things at such a young age! She is so close to being a full blown walker. She takes steps on her own and pulls herself up on everything! Her first word is “uh oh” and it makes me laugh anytime she says it. There was a running joke that boys are movers and girls are talkers and that has proven to be pretty true in our case! Stetson was always wiggly as a baby. Fallon just loves to babble as loud and as often as she can!
What’s Next?
We are looking forward to year two and all that it will bring for our girl. I cannot wait to watch her run around with her big brother and build friendships with the other little ladies in our life. My mama heart aches to hold my tiny little newborn one more time, but I also love to watch them grow into their big kid selves. Parenting is such a wild ride and full of bittersweet moments. My babies are everything to me and I love getting to share even a small part of their lives and who they are.
