Our daughter’s One Silly Goose First Birthday Party was a success! I always thought my first born had a fast first year, but wow. The second time around seriously went in a blink of an eye. This year with our sweet Fallon girl has been such a treasure. And I knew that I needed to plan a party that was just as sweet as her! I went with a “One” Silly Goose theme. All things soft, pastel, gingham, and of course goose accents! It was the perfect, neutral girly day! In this post I am sharing all the things from my inspiration, to the photos, links and more!
My Inspiration
When planning this party, I had to keep in mind a few things. First and foremost, it would be indoors. Because her birthday is late March there was still a chance for rain or even snow. Outside would be very hit or miss. I was also having to prepare for about 30-ish people which included about 9 kiddos. Luckily, while I was also party planning, I was adding and redecorating our playroom for this day too. We were going to need a space for all the kiddos to run around in! My vision was color, but color also scares me so I stuck to a few key colors. A nude color, pastel blue, and pastel yellow. I LOVED the combination that came from this!
The Party
When all was said and done, everything turned out so dang cute. I’ve always enjoyed throwing Stetson his little boy parties, but something about a girl party lit me up. I have been craving a sweet little lady to spoil with all the feminine things! We had the best time with family, and all our friends celebrating our girl turning one!
Invitation
The invitation for her party set the mood in advanced for the direction of the decor. I am a very visual, mood board kinda of gal. So I referred back this a lot when choosing other decor for the day.
